Today one of our junior firefighters, Trevor Grosick, completed the final module of the Essentials of Firefighting! This marks the culmination of 188 hours of training, combining both lecture and hands-on practical skills. The final step—Burn Day—was an exciting and fitting conclusion to his entry level training. Along the way, 7 of our members who are also PA State Fire Instructors, have had an opportunity to mentor him and classmates during that time as well.

Of mention, as of January 2023, 17-year-old junior members are able to participate in the last module of interior firefighting training however, they cannot enter a fire until age 18. We are exited to add him to the rank of interior firefighting in the new year!
